Interesting option for the Big 12 . . .


It won't happen, but the Big 12's best option might be to add BYU and the three service academies for football only. That would give the conference 14 members like three of the four other P-5 leagues and give WVU two eastern partners while preserving round robin play in basketball, etc. And the service academies have a pretty good following nationwide.

The problem is that Army is probably unwilling and perhaps unable to play big time football. And Air Force is a very good fit in the Mountain West for all sports.
